BLACK BOX VALIDATION
In embedded systems, black box validation is a testing approach used to assess the behaviour and performance of a system or component without inspecting its internal structure or implementation details. This technique entails treating the system as a black box and testing it based on its external inputs and outputs without examining how it processes those inputs or generates those outputs.
The goal of black box validation is to ensure that the system behaves appropriately and meets the needed standards, regardless of its internal implementation. This technique can be applied to both software and hardware components of an embedded system. To perform black box validation, a test engineer must first create a set of test cases that represent the system’s expected behaviour.
